@dumdristig
I just didn't grow up with it I guess. I've seen some games now and then (when our women's team was winning) but I just don't enjoy it so much. I like soccer better because that is what i'm used to. Maybe if I were to watch more hockey, I'll enjoy it more...
It is not that only rich people can play it. People from all backgrounds can play it here. It is just a thing we say, a stereotype thing. Although when I was younger i wasn't able to play sports in an association/club because my parents didn't have the money. That luckily changed after a few years. And we always had school PE and just playing outside.
So you seem to like quite a few sports. I like driving/racing as well, but watching it is indeed the most boring thing (although pit-stops are interesting). We have to go to Germany to be able to drive a little fast, but that is totally worth it.
I have seen The Cutting Edge, lovely film. The Mighty Ducks is not so great in my opinion...
We would call that a "flodderige Amerikaanse film" (sorry no offence intended) which means something like a feel-good, ignorant, with foreign stereotypes, sad actors and bad jokes movie. But some of my brothers like it a lot.

I think true stories are more interesting. I recently saw "Unbroken". It's about a soldier that survived Japanese camps during the 2nd WW. It was amazing and the ending was the best ever. The feeling of it being true makes the story and film so much better.

I don't really see it as deceit (although it probably is) but more about figuring out your opponents way of thinking, guessing moves and a little manipulation in making them think certain things. A strategic way of bluffing... I like it when it's all fun and just games. I love playing strategy games, especially against family members (I've got a lot of siblings). Yesterday i played Monopoly with my younger brother for most of the day. Today he told me he liked it much better than playing video games.
