@Wiseman288 My family moved to America to get away from the British NHS. It's much better here, and emergency care is always free if you can't pay. Most docs and hospitals will work out reduced rates and payment plans if your insurance doesn't cover, and in the worst case, medical bankruptcies are not the drain bankruptcies in most of the world are.
It's true the US system is a convoluted mess.
It's also true that the employer provided insurance model was created by the labor unions during WWII, to make them a non-taxed benefit.
So, it was socialists who created our screwed up system. ;)
