@Tue You know, I think it's kind of weird to argue for the same point of view first referring to individual responsibility and then to intent. If your argue from individual responsibility, the intent shouldn't matter but the outcome; if you argue from intent then the intent of both the people who introduced the alcohol to the Greenlanders as well as the intent of those Greenlanders who got addicted should be taken into account, because while the Danish who brought alcohol surely didn't do it in order to harm, nor did the Greenlanders take on the habit with the intent to get addicted and harm themselves.

In this case it's obviously the outcome that is more important, because with no ill intent from anyone involved you still have an outcome which costs people years of their life and quality of life.
