Spanish and Portuguese are close enough that if you speak one, you can basically understand the other.

well, they are quite close, but if you include already extinct finno-ugric languages, theyre not the closest ones. but since i dont really know so much spanish and portugese, but have heard some of it, than i would say yes, basically the same.

that joke is good (i really mean it), but from all stereotype jokes i have heard, its one of least accurate ones, especially considering Estonia's development speed, success in both sports and science fronts.
