Fan Art: How WWII Ended (Re uploaded)

Pretty much sums up how WWII ended.
Nazi Germany had the shit beaten out of him.
Then, when he was weak,
Soviet Russia bends him over a table,
and (literally) screws him over.

I would like to see how East and West Germany got born out of nazi Germany.

Fun times. Fun times.

To both of you, I use both. My brother in law is Czech by ethnicity and United States of American (happy both of you?) by birth and citizenship. While in the states, I can say something about him being Czech and it is understood that I am referring to ethnicity. If we were out of the states, then I would probably clarify as it might not be as clear if I was referrencing ethnicity or citizenship.

Coming from a melting pot, I tend to not put as big an emphasis on ethnicity as some. In fact, last census I put my ethnicity as "mostly United Kingdomish" because I couldn't fit "Scottish, Irish, English, Welsh, German, Choctaw and Cheyenne" in the blank.

And basically, it just depends on the person and how they feel. You only need to specify your ethnicity or citizenship on official forms, and in the USA, they generally can't even force you to specify the ethnicity part if you don't feel like it. So if you associate more with your ethnicity than your citizenship, call yourself that, if you feel a closer bond with your citizenship, call yourself that.

@scyerf Yep-yep! So fun!

4:13pm Thu 25th Aug #660576

@koruga whatever. I guess the whole thing is opinion based. good arguement though

2:03pm Thu 25th Aug #660231

@scyerf PLEASE start tagging me!
1: Well, I never was a traditionalist, besides, there are hundreds of things to call you guys.
2: But it was relevant...
3: I would never call myself Merkin, I have never lived in the U.S. I have lived in London and Moscow. Politics is not the way most of us think.

1:40pm Thu 25th Aug #660138

1. its not just what we think, and it has nothing to do with being thick headed. its the only thing that we have to call ourselves, because if we did call ourselfs anything else, than it wouldnt be normal. the countries nickname is america, therefore, we are americans. p.s. i tried typing statesian, and it underlined it in read, meaning that it is not a real word, but when i wrote American, it had no red line. therefore, mine is correct, and realized as a correct term. yours is not.
2. i was refering to einstein being born out of the us
3. a political scence is good to have compared to a bloodline. because im policitally american, i have many rights in america that an illegal immigrant would not share. however, if i would not be welcomed as a citizen in scotland or germany just because i have german and scottish blood. it may not be how most people see it, but the situation with einstein was purely political, so therefor it fits, and Einstein is an American

1:26pm Thu 25th Aug #660085

@scyerf 1: Yes, I forgot, people from the states do think like that...Terribly sorry, I forgot how thickheaded you people could be.
2:...Exactly what are you referring to?
3: Here's the thing, usually, if someone's Swedish, it means they have Swedish blood. Russian=Russian blood. In that sense, no he is a Statesian. A purely political sense of things is not how most people see things.

12:01pm Thu 25th Aug #659900

1. you refer to someone from the US as American. if you don't, you're not being smart, and you're not being clever. you are only making yourself look like a dumbass.
2.that has nothing to do with it
3. that depends. have they given up their Russian nationality and legally exchanged their passport to say that they are part of a new country? because if they have, than no they are not russian.

10:34am Thu 25th Aug #659571

@scyerf Merkin or Statesian, take your pick. I refuse to call them American, America consists of two continents. Merkin's just my favorite, and I don't live in the States. As such, I'm not lowering the IQ. And he wasn't born there. He wasn't raised there. My parents spent a good portion of their lives in Russia, are they Russian?

10:28am Thu 25th Aug #659541

@koruga Einstein was an american, he lived there for a good portion of his life, but he just didnt get citizenship until 1940. and please stop saying Merkin. You sound like the imbred hillbilly trash in the south that makes our IQ lower than that of Poland.

10:14am Thu 25th Aug #659477

@scyerf...Einstein was not Merkin. He was Swiss. Besides, I'm not a Merkin, or completely Polish. I'm an Ex-Pat, so basically a drifter, Not Russian or Irish or Merkin or anything, really.

9:57am Thu 25th Aug #659406

@koruga higher by 1 point. and yes i am american. which means that i have an even better advantage with my IQ at 144 at age 15. In poland, more people are probably close to the average. In the U.S., We smart people have the means to succeed, and be incredibly successful. BTW, I've heard of americans that have been famous for being famous. (ex. Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking), and i've heard of americans that are famous for being successful (ex. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Warren Buffet). i haven't heard of many Polish people who are famous for that. Intelligence is not necessarily measured by an IQ
