Fan Art: The adoption of Greenland

I read this [link] (Historical Summary: USA – Denmark – Greenland) anyway this is taking place during 1948, (that's why I made America white)

(During WWII USA served as a protecting power over Greenland and Iceland because Denmark was being occupied by Nazi Germany, after WWII Iceland became his own nation but Greenland had to go back with Denmark)

@SemperDania I stop listing to Duthbag after the first or third comment...

anyway what's with the "The US eats socialist babies!" thing? we don't eat socialist babies (their too young) we prefer teenagers *insert Homer Simpson's voice* "Hmmm socialist teenagers hmmm"

(I'm totally be sarcastic about the eating socialists)

(serious)

I'm glad our two countries made up before it went to bad, (because a cold war with Denmark would embarrassing... no offense)

(I hope we never "fight" over Greenland again)

*edit* Oil doesn't count...

(oh well we got Alaska)

@SemperDania Point taken. But Greenland is marked on all my maps as 'Completely covered with ice'. So there. And i didn't, i was just stating a simple irony.

@Dutchbag

The whole planet is "a slab of rock", if you want to go there. And please don't spam the thread wiith the usual "The US eats socialist babies!" BS, kthxbai

4:27pm Sat 27th Aug #666328

@AmericanButterfly It's a slab of rock with a giant icecliff on it that's melting and the water under it will make it roll off the slab of rock flooding either Canada or Europe. That's what Greenland is. And the most ironical part was in the Emerald Belt, now known as Indonesia. Yes, there was an armed insurgency there against the Netherlands, which the US supported. Because Suharto was a socialist, but that's not the point. Ironical to support one's cause for independence that's even uncalled for, while opposing an insurgency somewhere else.

4:23pm Sat 27th Aug #666321

@Dutchbag I really don't want to talk about this anymore (it's not an ice cliff it's that biggest island in the world with people with a culture and languish all their own, if anything we wanted Greenland to be able to do them with out having to worry about what Denmark would do, and to be more open to the world and less isolated)

4:15pm Sat 27th Aug #666301

@AmericanButterfly That wasn't it. You were trying to get Greenland out of Denmark whilst completely ignoring it was nothing but an ice cliff.

4:10pm Sat 27th Aug #666285

@Dutchbag duh that was the whole point (make Denmark treat Greenland better..)

4:08pm Sat 27th Aug #666279

@andrussi you're welcome (Sis and Bro Denmark's sorry face are so cute)

4:06pm Sat 27th Aug #666274

@AmericanButterfly Which is purely understandable. But they were trying to wiggle Denmark into releasing Greenland.

4:04pm Sat 27th Aug #666269

@Dutchbag who said we even want to keep it? we just wanted our air base there because geographical Greenland was very important to protect North America and stuff,

12:47pm Sat 27th Aug #665630

@AmericanButterfly Thank You! finally someone explained it :D
i love this Fanart~~~

11:36am Sat 27th Aug #665375

@danjuno To make sure the Nazis weren't there. Not to keep it.

O
11:35am Sat 27th Aug #665372

@Dutchbag No, it isn't, because he was put in charge of Iceland and Greenland by England and King Europe.

6:03am Sat 27th Aug #664409

@amercanbutterfly Still an open question.

5:11pm Fri 26th Aug #663286

@Dutchbag Well did you click the link? about USA, Denmark and Greenland? in the long run everyone got a little what they wanted,

5:03pm Fri 26th Aug #663272

I don't know what America thinks that gives him the right to meddle in other people's affairs.
