Three Drunks
I was going though some old sketches of these guys that I made back around the first comics, and one was a watercolour sketch of them drinking together. I thought it was cute but horribly drawn, so I decided to remake it.
I think it was supposed to be a joke on how a lot of Swedes and Norwegians come to Denmark for cheap, easy-to-get beer, which is why they’re obviously drinking some Danish brew. In fact, back when I was making up the characters I almost made Sweden a drunk, because that’s the Danish stereotype of a Swede. That’s all we ever see of the Swedes in the streets of Copenhagen.

I find it funny they're all always drinking beer. In Sweden, and I think all the Nordic countries to some extent, being able to choke down strong liquor unto near unconsciousness faster than the next guy has, since the viking age at least, been considered a manly skill. Maybe sometime we'll get to see the countries getting seriously drunk? Like a vodka, jägermeister, koskenkorva and minttu party? Or, I don't know, that might not be very funny.

I was so disturbed by that question that since the original person you asked it from hasn't yet answered, I will:
YES, FINNS DRINK BEER. Way more than vodka. We are not Russian, you know? .__. But. There is a big alcohol problem here, namely, not drinking to be happy but the opposite, and Finns are never happy, so there. xD I digress... Beer is THE alcohol here, though Finnish beer is apparently bad (I haven't tasted any good beer my whole life so don't ask me), especially among the trousers-kind. Finns are happy to have some higher percentage alcohol, too, though, so it's not like vodka is rare. Wine is becoming more fashionable... My brother has fallen for whiskey. So yeah.

There's a distinct difference between the Swedish (or should I say Scandinavian as the Danes have taken a liking for it aswell) Snaps and the German Schnaps. Snaps is usually simple vodka while Schnaps is a lighter form of alcohol with some sort of fruity flavour.

Sweden - The mean drunk who chews everyone out.
Denmark - The immature drunk who reverts to baby-like behaviour after "a few too many."
Norway - The loopy drunk who is too out of it to notice/care what's going on.

haha denmark is drunk enough; another one would be too much. i love the more unique portrayal of sweden as it is. ^ ^
