Tools I Use

I need new tools to draw... I only have paper and ten pencils :awkward:

How do you digitalize traditional art, excatly? When i try to color mine, the textures and impurities of the paper ruin the drawing. Do you need an expensive scanner or expensive art program in the computer?

oh hey I do the same thing. Draw traditionally and colour digitally. Except I do the lineart on my computer too

I usually do my drawings on paper and then trace them on the computer

I personally draw most of my art on tablet and computer. But i draw on paper as well. When i draw on paper it feels easier and more relaxing. But on computer i get a more satisfying end product. So it really depends on what i want to do.

I tried to do that but i can't because it feels too detached and unreal.
My traditional art skills aren't much better.

Everybody else seems to be able to even copy other people's styles, but i can't even draw the same face from different angles or draw different faces for different characters or even keep the features like noses or general structure consistent. Even that one only looks good because the face isn't visible.

If i tried something like this, the ink lines would be wonky or otherwise wrong.
