@Iateapenguin
"I certainly remember you defending the people who did post them, and telling me not to take their comments seriously."

Sure I did, cos there was nothing wrong in them.

"Besides, if the "mongol" comments were intentionally provocative, then so were the "allahu ackbar" comments - they were made in the presence of someone who was sure to react to them."

Nobody expected him to have any reaction towards that innocent joking and he was not even present at that time, he stopped by to lurk later. The (obviously provocative troll) mongol comments on the other hand were directed at the people the comment was designed to provoke.

"If you put the situations side by side, they are exactly the same."

Eh, close enough.Which brings up my point. They should be treated equally. Now ideally I think no comment like that should be deleted, but mod policy so far has been about the exact opposite.

"
Finn123, two months ago: "I just got frustrated about non-offensive comments getting deleted, again."
Finn123, today: "boo hoo someone called my people mongols, I'm going to report the comment until someone deletes it""

*sigh* Are you intentionally not understanding anything or is it a natural gift you have?
I was clearly not serious in any comment where I wanted smithi to be warned, the comments were even written in a way that you could see it's "tongue in cheek". I even said to Meelis that I don't want Smithi to be warned. And sure, I reported the comment too, because I read this #9400087 and was amused by how true it was.
