If the police are so terribly demoralized by having the truth be told they have no business being police in the first place. And it's certainly not "demonizing" anyone to tell that truth.
Becuase the truth is - of course - that most policemen are good and honest but you and other like you wants to defend even the obvoiusly unsuitable ones who should be kicked out or in some cases put in prison for their obvious misconduct.

It's called "cognitive dissonance" what you're showing here. Deep down you know that your position is morally corrupt and indefensible but you don't want to admitt that fact even to yourself. So your mind concocts a fantasy in which you both get to keep the morally bancrupt view and at the same time pretend it's not morally corrupt by displacing the outrage at your own thoughts towards me.
My position - that the unlawfull killing of civilians by police is a crime and should be treated as such - becomes the indefensible one in your fantasy as you pretend the killing of some civilians saves the lives of hundreds of others.
BUT THERE IS NO PROOF WHAT SO EVER THAT THIS IS TRUE!
It's a lie you tell yourself to feel better about the morally bancrupt and indefensible views you hold and your cognatice dissonance shows you actually know this deep down as well as your mind is desperately trying to find a way out by displacing blame somewhere else.
That does it for me - I'm not gonna spend more time talking with someone who doesn't even understand his own motivation and is prepared to accept the consequenses of his own positions.
If you're fine with innocent civilians being murderd that's your cross to bear and I'm not gonna let you get away with dispacing that blame on me or someone else.
