Knud the great was king of England, as well as Denmark and Norway. But maybe the English did not call him that.

One of my ancestors was a prominent Ealdorman who served him, if the names given in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle are accurate. The kid in the Vikings TV show doesn't quite do him justice.
