I’ve always been interested in spiritual and religious sites, so I wanted to learn more about Mount Athos during our trip to Halkidiki. The site talks about the history of the monasteries on Mount Athos and how to visit the peninsula, including the boat tours available since women can’t enter the area. They also explain the process for men who want to apply for a visit permit.
