Actually, the oil was not the main reason for the no to EU push, it was resources.
While Norway is rich on oil, we have major export of fish and other things, and by joining EU, we would loose control over our own natural resources, fish being a major part of it. The main reason why we still export vast amounts of fish is because of regulations on the fishing, meaning enforced to the point of opening fire on those who do not follow the guidelines.
Joining EU would mean total loss over this, and would decimate our natural resources due to "everyone can fish as they prefer" So until things like this changes, Norway will remain outside of EU. However this was not the only reason, but this was the major reason why all coastal areas (and half of norway is just that) voted no.
