@dumdristig I guess you're right (I did not exclude other countries/languages). But it's probably that I see it more in English than I do in other languages.
Yes I hear the prepositions mix-ups a lot as well.

The difference between Australian and what New-Zealanders speak is very slight, but according to my New-Zealand friend you're able to hear it. It could be that he just is a little jealous and self-conscious though ;)
Ah yeah, I can hear sort of the differences between the north, south, east and west of Africa. But indeed, the populations in the countries are usually mixed and therefore hard to pin down.

Also thank you for this conversation (sort of). It was very interesting and even something to look forward to. But as this is the last reply we can make on this thread, maybe you could find another way (the forum maybe?) if you want to reply at this last comment ;)
