No, I'm strictly talking about per capita, which takes that into account. If anything, the economies of scale should mean that the 320-some million Americans should be slightly cheaper to treat per person than the 26-27 million Scandinavians (adding all five countries in the expansive definition of Scandinavia).

It's incredible that per person our government could spend more on health care in this country than most countries do that actually pay for everyone's health care. However, nonetheless it is true. Yes, our medical system is that inefficient...
