Don't look at me like that, but I don't really think the "Vampires" in the Twilight series are really Vampires...
Vampires don't sparkle. They're supposed to burn, or be weakened, when met with sunlight. Don't stare at me, it's true... Vampires are mythological, therefore Meyer doesn't have the right to alter a Vampire's characteristics and still call it a Vampire. She, instead, created a new species that sparkles in the sunlight and drinks blood.
Well, I'm sorry, but it's true. I suppose you can work it out yourself, but I believe I have made my point so far...
And I personally think Edward Cullen is kind of creepy... watching someone sleep isn't romantic, it's stalking. I think Twilight didn't really make Vampires all that irresistible...
