@Gunnhildur I'm from China and let me tell you, if you mention "Scandinavia" to us, 99% would return blank stares. We seem to know individual countries very slightly better...but that's not saying much. If you're lucky, we'll know one thing (as opposed to zero things) about your country.

Denmark: Cookies.
Norway: Salmon.
Finland: Wind power (I couldn't even say this is common knowledge)
Sweden: *Maybe* hot girls, but I think most people will answer banks, or Sugus. Both of which are actually associated with Switzerland.
Iceland: ...Volcanos? Most people would probably see the flag and think it's the UK flag...if they can tell UK and England apart, that is. And that's if we don't mix you up with Greenland somehow (Greenland's melting ice is somewhat common knowledge due to global warming). I'm so, so sorry. Please don't jeopardize your eyes any longer.

Edit: Damn, I forgot about IKEA, which is reasonably well-known as from Sweden but behind cookies and salmon.
