Largely because those ARE the prevailing stereotypes about the USA.
Truth be told though, I think Humon's "USA" is pretty positive. He's shown as a very friendly, outgoing guy, happy to help, but he has his issues and quirks.
You'll note every other character ALSO has their issues and quirks; it's not that USA is being singled out unfairly. ;)
