In Iceland we have 13 brothers that come every night from dec 11-24. Their mom is a troll named grýla and if you are naughty she is supposed to come and eat you. She has also eaten 2 of her husbands. Originally these brothers were naughty and did all kinds of crazy stuff but today they only fill your shoe (you are supposed to put one shoe in your window) with gifts
