Healthcare 21 8, 4:45am

@Swedishchinese363 That video uses the man's (a biased conservative person) impression of how much they clapped and whether they would clap the same amount for a cure for cancer. That's bullshit on a pie. I would absolutely clap more for a cure for cancer than some healthcare announcement. Also, his representation of how people think of the morality of socialism is kind of a straw man, and he's ignoring the point where democratic socialism allows for capitalism in that "people think capitalism is bad and socialism is good!" dichotomy, making it a straw man to argue against. It's also hyperbole to say that giving an extension on health insurance is allowing dependence of your parents, that doesn't account for any other costs. It also full of his emotional take. I'd add that the mentality of capitalism can be just as easily characterized as this rather stereotypical "whiny entitled millennials" attitude. "Oh, I won't pay taxes and reduce my personal wealth to ensure someone else who needs the money more can get healthcare! That would be immoral! Because my personal indulgence is a moral value and their poverty should be dealt with by... (runs away, calling back) I'm a productive individual!" I could argue capitalism promotes the idea of inequality by acting like some people, who often aren't better but luckier, deserve money more. And underpays some of the hardest working people, the physical labourers, although their work can be done by any hard working fit person it's still hard work that deserves more.In reality it's difficult to say how well people could go if their opportunities were the same, and I doubt anyone is worth what people like the Waltons have, you're just not that good. You see? It's not very good argument without in depth psychology and sociology on an enormous scale, it requires mountains of data, that this video does not have.
