Nordic in finnic languages meas both north and bottom (think of the Bay of Bothnia = botten = pohten = pohjan = põhi) and base (of the ice shield).
Germanic languages still retain the bottom and base meaning, but have lost the indo-uralic (or eurasiatic) meaning of north.
Nordic with large caps (the Nordic Council) is a club. They are selective. But with your golf greens, it shouldn't be a problem for long.
