@StevenU I believe it is because the north pole is a very cold place, so her personification would also be cold. Although one may argue that the temperature of the place does not seem to correlate between their friendliness or coldness of their personalities, I say that is because countries with people in them rely on history of the people, stereotypes, and actual cultural matters while the north pole has no people, they had to base her personality on something, so why not the weather.
