That vaguely reminds me of when my neighborhood had an albino squirrel named Fifi but some kids caught in a wire cage and kept shaking it up so that it would stress the squirrel out. The stress would cause the squirrel to try to claw and bite through the wires (which were sturdy so doing so would be impossible) and eventually it killed itself by biting down so many times the wire crushed part of the skull so it died from brain damage from the crushed portion. It also died with broken bloody hands.
