Honestly, I'm unsure of the background still, but I couldn't think of anything else to put, so I gave up.

Have to agree with AmericanButterfly here. Finland's face is great. Maybe the background represents the "socks of doom" that Finland wants to strangle Sweden with.
Only sad thing about the picture in my opinion, is that Sweden's cross is covered except for the verticle stripe. But you have to do what you have to do for the pose right? lol. Great pic overall though. I'm loving Humon's comics more and more, and the fan art is awesome too.
