@OnkelFinland But not until they had assurances that the Soviets would stop their advances into Finland in 1944. Finland was forced to collaborate with Germany between 1941 and 1944 because of Soviet aggression. Not a proud moment in Finnish history, but necessary (it was believed) to maintain independence.
