Ugh, vampires might have been irresistible once, but certainly not anymore, with all the super lame TV shows and movies (very much including, but hardly limited to, Twilight). I actually would think more of Hungary when I think of vampires, but that's because I know the accent is Hungarian, since while Transylvania is part of Romania, it's the Hungarian speaking portion, and they actually were faithful to that fact in the movies. I also do not associate the gypsies with the Romanians, despite the name of the former truly being the Romany (or alternate spellings). I guess that's because I knew that ethnically they were not related before I knew the correct name for the gypsies...
