Actually, when Sweden had a crisis for some years ago and hardly any physicians, we imported doctors from Poland, and they was well-payed (otherwise they wouldn't have come here). I've got a friend who's born in Poland but he moved her when he was a toddler because both his parents got jobs as doctors here.
But I suppose doctors don't usually are in the cathegory of "workers" since that's usually people who does physical labour. But still.
