Yes and it can be very confusingly diverse. There's the couple big splits (Sunni/Shia/Ibadi), but even under that you have all these different scholarly schools in each one...you have the Sufis who can get REALLY unorthodox...and you have a bunch of bizarre offshoots of Shia like the Alawites, Alevis, Druz etc that are like the Mormons of Islam...and even whole other religions...
And yeah, each region and country and even ethnic groups go about them differently to some degree. Sure there's the insanely religious world of Saudi-Arabia, but then there's one of the least religious countries on earth that is technically Muslim, Azerbaijan.
