Coincidentally, Finland actually invented the Molotov Cocktail ... well, technically Spain invented it, but Finland perfected and named it. The story goes that when Russia was invading Finland in The Winter War, the Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov claimed on radio that the Russian Bombing Raids over Finland were actually dropping humanitarian aid. This lead to Finnish Resistance Fighters calling the bombs "Molotov Bread-baskets" and as a result when they used improvised grenades to destroy Russian Tanks they called those grenades "Molotov Cocktails" (because they were made using beer bottles).
