There are more museums in the U.S. than there are Starbucks 12 8, 2:09am

I don't find it so hard to believe. My hometown in germany has a museum of natural science, a museum of local history, a museum of fine arts, a museum of playing cards, a museum of distilling and probably a couple more I don't even know about. It has one McDonalds and no Starbucks. Why would it be any different in the states? Every other town has it's own history, culture and lots of other things worth showing in a museum, and while Starbucks and McDonalds need to be profitable on their own, which they might not be in a town of 2000 souls somewhere in the middle of nowhere, museums often are kept going through charity or subsidies or have a society that carries them.
