There are more museums in the U.S. than there are Starbucks 3 10, 5:35am

MY home town has 298 people, 3 museums, and, unsurprisingly, no a single Starbucks or McDonald.

It's not uncommon in Montana, where most small towns are more than 100 years old. The often have an old graveyard, or an old building or rail office that has been declared a historical monument and made into a museum of sorts. Cowboy history is big, and families have often lived on the same land longer than there has been a town, tending the same herd of cattle for 6-7 generations. People come by to learn about the range wars or the birth and death of the railroads.
