@GuyFromMeanmaa Even if we ignore the whole "built civilization as we know it" schtic (which I personally find bogus, since I'm not even sure if the modern Greek really originates from the Classical Greeks), our incredibly vigorous educational system ensures that Greece still produces an appreciable percentage of brilliant minds even compared to more developed nations. Unfortunately, greater intelligence leads to greater ambition- and when it becomes obvious that a chance to change the world is not likely to come from a crumbling country, many decide to flee in search for a better future.
