@MandalMotors I kinda noticed that "white washing" part when I visited the US. It's not just the racial issues, but the overall lack of mention about anything that was not good part of history. For example Germany has a lot of Nazi era museums. They are not proud of the period, but they still show it. US museums rarely show anything else than the high notes of their history.
Sure I haven't visited every museum in US. It's just the feel I got from the ones I did visit. Sorry if I assumed too much from my own experiences.
