@PaxRomana Yes especially if you already spent few years building a life in whatever country you get refugee from. Finland sent a lot of "war children" to Sweden for safety during Winter War (we had WW2 before it was cool!) and for most of them it was quite a shock to come back from the (relatively) rich and safe life in Sweden to a country that was ravaged by war. Many of those people have later moved to Sweden or at least found out if there were any of their foster parents or -siblings still alive.
