I'm English and I like hugs. normally, guys get weirded out by the greeting hug so I shake hands all boringly, but most of my friends that know me know that I'm going to hug them. And my parents generation will always do the two kiss thing for male/female greeting. But I hate that, because I never know which way to go first or how loud to kiss because you don't actually kiss them you just kiss right next to their cheek and that is awkward and too complicated. Hugs are just easy and less complicated and friendly.
