The Original North America 5 4, 1:39am

Actually, the earliest, earliest, *earliest* representation of the USA was the Indian Princess. Evidently, this was stemmed from the days of the "four representatives" of the continents Europe, Africa, Asia and America (where both North and South were treated as one). The Americas were represented by the Indian Queen. http://clements.umich.edu/exhibits/online/american-encounters/american-encounters-women.php Somehow the Indian Queen led to the Indian Princess representing Colonial America. Evidently, she was the daughter of Britannia (England), and there are some pre-war cartoons showing her telling her mother off. Then after the war there was a cartoon showing mother and daughter reconciling.
