@Zeakninja -- German toilets don't contain a large pool of water. Instead they have a shelf onto which turds fall. (I don't know why Germans like inspecting their faeces. But they do.) Pee onto that and you splatter urine EVERYWHERE. So instead, man or woman, you sit to pee.
