@yoisi ... Those people aren't refugee's xD They're Danish citizens. Sure, we probably have some women in our refugee centers, who are also upset about the law, but they're not the ones who are protesting the law.
And no, simple integration is not 'invasion'. These people are not 'invading' us, although I'm sure that's what the extreme right wing would love to claim.
People are entitled to their cultural heritage. As long as they don't harm or impose it on others I don't see the harm in it. It's a human right to be able to maintain your beliefs as long as they're not hurting anyone.

Besides, what do you mean 'local' culture? 'cause even within the borders of a country you will find VERY different cultures. Sure we're more similar, but 'country-folk' and 'city-folk' are still consided very different kinds of people within a country. Culture isn't some static thing that never changes and doesn't have any overlap with other cultures. Culture is fluent and ever changing. There's nothing wrong with these people wanting to maintain aspects of their ancestor's culture.

Of course that doesn't mean I support the burqa in itself. I simply find it idiotic to punish the victims. That will only isolate these women even more.
