I’m studying Norwegian. Just started. So I decided to watch a Norwegian film, to try and get a feel for the language. It was a very sad experience that made me question whether I actually want to better understand this language. It painted Norway as a very dim, brutal, hateful, ugly country, where the only laughs are at the expense of other people. I know that Norway is not ugly or horrible, but for a comedy, there sure weren’t a lot of laughs. :/
