I didn't mean that their opposition to eminent domain was hypocritical; that's very consistent. It's the part with only supporting holy code when it is personally conveinient or gives a justification for harassing others. And following your own religious beliefs is fine, trying to force it upon others isn't. And even if they should, can't they at least figure out which variant of christianity that should be the divine constitution? Cuz it seems to me the average american christian, among democrats and republicans alike, is a nice person who is okay with equal rights to minorities and women.
Looks like we'll have to agree to disagree then. I don't like collectivism either, but when the options are authoritarianism or slightly more progressive authoritarianism, it doesn't really matter.
