@EUcomicartist In Sweden you buy your "gravrätt" för 25 years, which is indefinitely renewable as long as you have someone that takes care of the grave and family that's willing to pay the fee. The fee is normally about 2500 for a new 25 year period.
But hey, be cremated, have your ashes buried in a communal "gravlund" and avoid all of that annoyance.
It's not like you need your body after you're dead.
