@wavewright62 My husband went to Australia sometime in the mid-eighties (to celebrate the SCA Principality of Lochac becoming an independent Kingdom). The first email he sent me read, "So I have now seen and heard a kookaburra. They're LOUD. They're loud at daybreak, when one is still jet-lagged and hoping to catch up on sleep."
That said, he loved the Australians he met. Since he doesn't drink, he wasn't able to comment on the beer.
