@Eruanne Not quite... Lochac didn't go independent (SCA) kingdom for a few years after I was there. I was there for the West Kingdom (of which Lochac was a Principality at the time) August coronation. I stayed for the Lochac principality lists tournament, which meant traveling from Canberra to Adelaide by car. The scenery reminded me very much of the California Central Valley...except for everyone in the car cheering when a dead fox was spotted, and coming across a flock of sheep all over the road guarded by dogs in red coats and a shepherd on horseback.
