@RusA I'm not sure I'd like a house that has so much light, but I guess in Iceland it's not so bad, because it's dark for half the year anyway. :XD: It's really quite a well-thought-out piece of architecture, though.

I've seen pictures of houses after big snowstorms in the Rocky Mountains and the upper Midwest part of the U.S. where [links removed] the snow piles up against the houses like that. Fortunately, we never get that much snow all at once. We did once in the 19th century ( see ~9852638 ), but with the global climate warmer these days, we're not likely to see anything like that again any time soon.
