@Louhikaarme and by "unwilling to do anything" you mean that they actually followed the idea of "flattening the curve" and preferred to limit public gatherings and advise people, instead of hoping that lockdowns will somehow eliminate virus that is more transmissible than flu. In areas that actually matter, like vaccination and rapid testing, Sweden performed very well.

Considering that the price is 14k dead people out of 10 millions, there are countries with more proactive governments that performed much worse.
