Yeah this is mainly common with white americans. (or so ive been told…) There are definitely people who do this, most likely in white dominated states like Utah or whatever. I grew up in the east (where there are more minorities) and with the addition that I was asian american myself it was a surprise to find out people would wear shoes inside their own homes
