The chocolate exchange became so popular that faroese children started stealing eggs and giving them to the English soldiers and learned some English in a time where most kids didn't go to school, most of the English they knew was just the phrase "Chocolate for eggs?" Which i imagine was adorable because imagine watching children giving soldiers eggs and the soldiers giving them chocolate ^-^
