I have an orange cat, who seems to think he has 99 to throw away. I bring him to visit his sister who I gave to an elderly man in a wheelchair to keep him company. The sister cat figured out she needs to get out of the way of a powered wheelchair rolling backwards right away (granddad does NOT have eyes in the back of his head, OR rear-view mirrors OR backup cam) She clearly understands the clicking sound of the chair motors engaging and quickly moves around the slow-moving chair.
The orange cat, even after hundreds of visits, still flops himself down in the middle of the wood-coloured floor that perfectly camouflages him, and just watches with a bored expression as a wheelchair backs over him.
You think he'd learn. He's down 3 lives already.
