Community made Fact Card:

The thistle is the emblem of Scotland as a barefoot viking raider cried out in pain as he stood on one, alerting the Scottish army encampment that the Norse army were sneaking up on.

I've never understood why, in a country where the thistle is the national flower, men wear skirts with nothing underneath.

Vikings and stealth... We don't exactly look like ninjas. Unless those ninjas suddenly are tall and blonde. And well, I'm not saying that pale-skinned Scandinavian directly glows in the dark, but...

Yeah, I think they were guarding something important in a tower - I really should know more about my *cough* own country. Honestly, most of my knowledge is on the Nordics :P

Iceland is not Scandinavian in the modern geopolitical sense, but they definitely are Scandinavian culturally and linguistically, in which senses Scandinavian and Nordic pretty much mean the same thing. And the Icelandic Vikings were originally settlers from Norway. ;)

The word Viking usually refer to Norsemen, the Old Norse-speaking Germanic tribes of Scandinavia. So in that sense of the word, Finns weren't Vikings.

That's wonderful. I know the general rule is to re-use existing art from the comics, but this would be hilarious incident to see an image of. Maybe this story even warrants it's own 1-panel comic.
