From the 700s to the 1200s, Baghdad was an Intellectual Center unrivaled in the world. It's House of Wisdom studied mathematics, astronomy, medicine, alchemy and chemistry, zoology, and geography.
Because humans have almost never gone there for 60 years, the Korean DMZ has become a refuge for several endangered species such as Siberian tigers and red crowned cranes.

This piece of fan art shows Scotland and Sister Norway as a nuclear family, with Shetland and Orkney as their children.

I specifically singled out Shetland and Orkney because they have Scandinavian Cross flags whose colours and design resemble the national flags of Scotland and Norway.
